Iron Horse and Vintus Announce National Partnership February 04, 2021 Legendary American sparkling wine producer Iron Horse Vineyards has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement to partner with VINTUS across the United States effective immediately. In 1976, owner and CEO Joy Sterling’s parents, Audrey and Barry Sterling, purchased a 300-acre estate in the Green Valley near Sebastopol, within the Russian River Valley. In love with Burgundy and Champagne and enchanted with the Russian River, they took a chance on a vineyard that had been planted a few years previously against the advice of UC Davis. At the time, it was the most westerly vineyard in Sonoma, and for that reason and its elevation, considered too cool and prone to frost.
