Georgia Ann (Srok) Pomroy passed away peacefully on January 30th, 2023. Georgia bravely battled Alzheimers for the past 10 years. She was born on October 17th, 1936. The youngest of 6 (Jack, Betty, Darlene, Dick, and Tom), she was born in Finlayson. She grew up in Duluth, MN, and went to Cathedral High School. Bill and Georgia were high school sweethearts. They married after mom received her Nursing degree from St. Scholastica and moved to Milwaukee, WI, where they welcomed the 1st of 3 children Deborah Marie. After Bill finished college they moved to Minneapolis, William John was born, and finally Patricia Joanne. Bill and Georgia were together for 52 years before Bill passed away in December, 2013.

Costero Holdings, a privately held London-based brokerage, has acquired the independent broker Mar Risk Services Ltd. (MarRS), effective March 1, 2021.
Headquartered in London, MarRS offers insurance advice and access to leading insurance providers both in Lloyd’s and international markets. The company provides niche and bespoke services including risk management, placement and a 24/7 claims service.
Clive Freeman, MarRS CEO, and his team have all joined Costero’s operation, expanding the broker’s expertise in the fields of insurance, reinsurance and claims handling. Freeman will continue with Costero as non-executive director while Stuart Freeman and Seema Pandey will continue to head their respective divisions of energy and marine. James Wright will be head of claims, and Meg Williamson will coordinate with the Costero accounts division, focusing on the energy

Whilst the Covid-19 pandemic has had a national impact with apprenticeship starts down across the whole country, in the borough of Rochdale, 14 new apprentices have started their training at Rochdale Borough Council since the start of 2021.
Since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, 32 new apprentices have started with the council and schools.
