Buffalo Man Pleads Guilty to Selling Leopard on Instagram

According to reporting by WIVB, Michael Merisola was in US District Court where he pleaded guilty to violating the Endangered Species Act.
Merisola, who owns an antique store in Buffalo s Black Rock neighborhood, posted a mounted leopard on his Instagram page for sale back in 2019. He then sold it to a special agent of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service who was undercover for more than $4,000. He was subsequently arrested by federal agents for illegally selling the animal.
