this is fox 5 news at 10:00. we begin with the changing weather outside. up first a record breaking day, the hottest day ever for the month of june and tonight we re watching a line of severe storms moving across the region. this same system caused some major damage in the midwest. thanks for joining us tonight. i m shawn yancy. i m maureen umeh. we want to show you how strong some of these storms are. the same line hit indiana earlier today with wind up to 80 miles per hour. the rain and high wind knocked down trees and power lines before moving towards the east. fox 5 s gary mcgrady is tracking these storms from the weather center for us tonight. this whole complex that s been moving out of ohio also moved through indiana, we have history of this producing winds in excess of 70, 75 miles per hour and there has been a lot of damage, mainly wind damage along the storm s path. we re taking it very seriously tonight. we go to radar to show you what s happening out there
