The 25-year-old New Hampshire man allegedly told witnesses “I am sorry” after shooting another hotel guest in the face. A number of witnesses had observed or encountered the suspect carrying a gun in the open around the hotel.
Andrew Richard LaMotte III, “Chick,” 73, passed away December 31, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.
Chick was born October 29, 1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Chick is preceded in death by his parents, Patricia (Hammer) and Andrew “Chick” LaMotte Jr. He is survived by his soulmate and loving wife, Joyce (Smith), whom had been by his side since they were 16 years old, his daughter, LaNette Krob (Kevin) and son, Andrew “Chick” LaMotte IV, brothers Michael LaMotte of Bridgeport, Mark (Beverly) LaMotte of Florida, David (Vickie) LaMotte of Arizona, special sister- in-law Nancy Phillips of Pleasantville Ohio, grandchildren Amber, Madison, Haleigh, Shane, Andrew “Chickie” V, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
