A popular tourist spot on the West Coast of New Zealand has been revealed as the location of an underground cannabis bunker that caused a stir back in 2019.

West Coast farmer and Cowboy Paradise owner Mike Milne. The court confirmed the interim name suppression order had lapsed. When contacted by Stuff on Monday, Milne said he could not comment. He has owned the Upper Arahura Valley land, now known as Cowboy Paradise, since 1994. Milne has consent to build a whole western town, including a 500m main street with 57 buildings including bars, restaurants, accommodation and a function room. It remained unfinished at the time of his arrest.
