Motorcyclist killed in crash on I-5; troopers seek info about involved car

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 5 south of Woodburn, and troopers are looking for information about an involved car.
The driver of a black SUV made contact with the motorcyclist, who went off the northbound interstate and hit a center cable divider, the Oregon State Police said, citing an early investigation.
The driver of the SUV didn’t stop. The motorcyclist, 30-year-old Meagan Brumley of Keizer, suffered fatal injuries.
Troopers are seeking information about the SUV, which should have damage to its front driver’s side, according to the state police.

GATES — An officer-involved shooting that left one man dead shortly before midnight near Gates, started in Deschutes County, according to information released Wednesday afternoon by the Salem Police Department,
A Bend man was shot and killed by police late Tuesday outside Gates after reportedly robbing two Bend businesses and fleeing nearly 100 miles in a stolen car.
The alleged crime spree that ended in the death of Brad Tyler Masters, 27, began around 10:15 p.m. at the Dutch Bros location at 603 NE Third St., Bend Police said in a statement.
Employees told police that a man, believed to be Masters, walked up to one of the drive-thru windows displaying a handgun and demanding money. He then ran to the nearby Dominoâs Pizza location at 253 SE Yew Lane where he also showed employees a handgun and demanded money, according to Bend Police Lt. Juli McConkey.
