Dallas s next luxury mixed-use project has finally broken ground.
Capital Peak Ventures is developing The Terminal at Katy Trail, a 19-unit mixed-use condo project located at 4205 Buena Vista Street just off Fitzhugh Avenue. Designed by Austin-based Michael Hsu Office of Architecture, the project backs up to the Katy Trail and is inspired by the world’s most iconic train stations, an aesthetic that celebrates the history of the Katy Trail, which was once an important rail line hand-built in the 1860s.

Unico Properties announced the recent completion of the five-story, 165,000-square-foot
Bouldin Creek office building, which draws its name from that neighborhood in Austin, Texas. The project was a collaboration with landowners
Manifold Real Estate and
OakPoint Real Estate, which acquired the corner site three years ago. The project was designed by Texas firm
Michael Hsu Office of Architecture with
Studio8 Architects.
White Construction broke ground in March 2019, and
Nudge Design was the landscape architect. Bouldin Creek is targeting LEED Gold certification, and features a large amount of WiFi-served outdoor space; it also overlooks 2 acres of green space abutting the actual Bouldin Creek. Green features include a bike room with showers, and electric car stations in the mostly structured parking on the first two levels. Office floor plates average around 50,000 square feet, and

But when it comes to a new Hsu-designed office building in South Austin, another design element deserves a close look. The 165,000-square-foot Bouldin Creek office building, at the northeast corner of South Lamar Boulevard and West Oltorf Street, features four murals created by four local artists: Soledad Fernandez-Whitechurch, Tyler Hobbs, Sophie Roach, and Jana Swec. Unico Properties, the main developer of the project, tapped the Downtown Austin Alliance Foundation’s Writing on the Walls program to commission the four murals.
