The new half-hourly Sunday and Bank Holiday bus service launch coincides with the 125th anniversary of the Winter Hill Trespass, when people marched on the very same moors fighting for rights enjoy the countryside. The new service means the popular attraction will now be accessible to more people to enjoy. They were the notorious brothers behind a wave of explosions that shocked police and established criminals. Andrew and Anthony White s gang used oxyacetylene gas to blow up ATMs and roared off at speeds of around 150mph.
The gas, used by established gangs in France and Holland, had not been used by criminals in the UK before the brothers reign of chaos began.
The White brothers were notorious in gangland Liverpool for their risk taking and apparent fearlessness.
