Plywood has covered the outside of Flowers Tommy Luke since May 30 when rioters smashed the window of the downtown Portland florist.
Owner Louella Scott looked into replacing the window at the time, but decided to wait after learning the repairs would cost $1,200. It wasn’t worthwhile for her to go through insurance because she has a $1,000 deductible and she worried last summer about shelling out the money to repair the damage when nightly protests were consuming downtown Portland carrying with them the risk of further damage.
