Universal Pictures announced on Monday that they will be producing a new trilogy of The Exorcist movies, with Ellen Burstyn returning as Chris MacNeil.
The movies, the first of which is set for release in October 2023, will be a continuation of the original, though there was no mention of Linda Blair, who played Chris MacNeil s possessed 12-year-old daughter Regan in the horror classic.
Blair, 62, took to Twitter on Monday afternoon, revealing that she has not been in talks with the studio or the producers to return as Regan quite yet.
