Classical IPR in Concert: Music Spotlight 4 from Interlochen Arts Academy

• Mar 18, 2021 On this edition of Classical IPR in Concert, we ll hear a February 2021 virtual recital of the Cummings String Quartet. The Cummings Quartet is the professional ensemble of the Dorothy Gerber Strings Program, in residence at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts in Bay Harbor. The program will feature works by Beethoven and Shostakovich. The Cummings Quartet are: David Reimer (first violin), Iuliia Fetysenko (second violin), Trisha Berquist (viola) and Elizabeth Bert (cello). Interlochen performance on Performance Today: March 15, 2021

• Aug 14, 2019 The Telegraph Quartet is a 2016 Walter W. Naumburg Chamber Music Award-winning string ensemble based in the San Francisco Bay area. The quartet will perform this week at Interlochen Center for the Arts.    The group visited IPR’s Studio A to perform works by Mendelssohn, Britten and Beethoven. Interlochen performance on Performance Today: March 12, 2021

On Friday, March 12, the nationally syndicated program Performance Today will feature music performed at recorded at Interlochen Center for the Arts. Listen to Classical IPR during the 10 a.m. hour of the show to hear the ensemble Russian Renaissance perform the traditional Ya na kamushe siju (I m sitting on the stone).   The recording was made during a recent performance the group gave in the Dendrinos Chapel and Recital Hall at Interlochen.
