heather: welcome back to fox and friends first donald trump unloading on the fbi after agents ransacked the office of long-term atty. michael cohen. todd: was this an appropriate action carried out i new york prosecutors office? you to react is tom fenton. you have been on this since the beginning. what do you think of this move yesterday? is a political one? i don t understand how a decision to raid the home of the lawyer of the president of the united states would be anything but a political decision. these decisions come up all the time whether to raid someone s home and office especially a lawyer and it is treated with sensitivity and they have to kick it up the chain, the
dana. we are talking about the hysteria on the one side but then when you look at three of the top legal minds besides kimberly guilfoyle in the country, ken starr, andrew dershowitz, and jonathan turley, constitutional scholars, they all say there s no obstruction of justice case here.th who do you believe, the washington post are these three people? people who have done other obstructions of justice cases, including the one against clinton, say that theref is moe than prima facie evidence here for an obstruction of justice case. there are other people who participated in these efforts. as a matter of what chef you want to call into the kitchen. i don t know how it plays out there. to me the big news today is you have staff told to preserve records. you had the president s lawyer michael cohan saying that he is hiring his own lawyer. we know that vice president prinz has hired his own lawyer. they re now going to apparently
week before. there still is it now. all of these people, just so you know already had attorneys. this is no new development.ev michael cohen, jamie garlick, have been representing jared, he has a strong favor of the president in terms of he trusts her and respects her and let somebody that works with the obama administration. the bottom line is smart to have a lawyer. don t you will have lawyers that represent you? you need one for other reasons including restraining orders. i need a full group of lawyers. the thing is you would be ridiculous if you didn t have given what s going on in the climate. we went down this road before because it was in the new york times, five sources before where they said it was collusion with the president, anonymous sources. now again mysteriously, it s always a number, five anonymous sources. when you say rosenstein is saying that don t believe anonymous sources, don t sink your teeth into stories where there are over and over again
the surprise raids happened before dawn on monday. the fbi searched the home office and temporary hotel room of donald from long-term attorney michael cohan. the fbi concentrated various documents including those detailing $130 in slush money paid to adult film actress stormy daniels right before the 2016 election. daniels claims she had sex with the president a decade before receiving the payment. donald trump has denied any of this and is outraged with the fbi raid. it is a real disgrace. it is an attack on our country in a true sense, an attack on what we all stand for. reporter: we know cohan is being investigated for possible bank fraud and campaign-finance violations. this is seismic, one of the
most significant, most seismic events and the trump russia investigation. one thing donald needs to be assured of it if he didn t work with the russians, the american people will see through all this we defeated work with the russians, he is in trouble and i see no evidence he did. this michael cohan thing is not related to russia or donald from, i wouldn t worry about it. reporter: michael cohen could be the fall guy but this case is a witchhunt, has no merit, the president was asked if he is going to fire robert mueller, he said he will see what happens, stressing he thinks the case is a disgrace. jillian: time will tell. we will see how this plays out. the caravan of migrants showing no sign of stopping, a group of travelers on a bus to mexico city telling cnn they will seek asylum in the us.
