Postmasters Union Warns Of The Collapse Of Postal Network In Ireland

The Irish Postmasters Union s warning that the state needs to act urgently to maintain the Post Office Network. It says post offices across the country need financial intervention within weeks or the Network will collapse. Irish Postmasters Union General Secretary, Ned O Hara says its members will be consulted on the way forward: Midlands Fine Gael senator and postmaster, Michael Carrigy says the profession is at risk of becoming unviable:

10 million euro regeneration funding announced for Ballymahon, Boyle and Mohill

Minister Heather Humphreys is announcing government allocations of 5.9 million euro for Ballymahon, 2.5 million euro for Mohill, and 1.8 million euro for Boyle. The project in Ballymahon will renovate a number of vacant buildings in the town centre to provide family support services, a new dedicated youth club, enhanced elderly care services and a new rural working hub.
