OSHKOSH – Voters decided to reelect a familiar candidate to serve as mayor.  Mayor Lori Palmeri, 53, defeated challenger Kris Larson,45, in the April 6 election for Oshkosh mayor. According to unofficial results, Palmeri received 50.8% of the total vote, and Larson received 47.1%. Vote tallies remain unofficial until elections officials verify them in the coming days. It’s my honor to continue to serve for two more years and continue the work we started. I’m ready to get to work. It’s an honor to be reelected by the city of Oshkosh, Palmeri told the Oshkosh Northwestern after the results came in. Palmeri, whom voters first elected to the position in 2019, campaigned on recovery efforts from the COVID-19 pandemic and sustainability for clean water, air, energy and housing policies.
