Hidden jewel under the highway? City of Miami holding meeting for future greenspace

MIAMI – The City of Miami is one step closer to giving part of downtown more greenspace for all to enjoy.
A public meeting will be held Wednesday, April 14, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., to discuss the upcoming ‘Underdeck Greenway’, which would connect Overtown to Biscayne Bay, a 33-acre long public space below I-395.
The city is looking for input from residents and business owners about how to make the area under the highway more usable. It’s expected to include public art displays, lighting features and event spaces.

Miami to get a green space below its metro rail

A city must have a great vibe, and that comes with great living spaces. The city of Miami, which is already known for its amazing vibes is now getting a 10 mile park that is going to inspire its residents. The park will come with an outdoor gym, butterfly gardens, and even biking trails. Perfect for all age groups, the all-new park is called Underline, and is located under the Miami Metrorail track.
The park’s first phase already opened last month, and the project is expected to get completed in 2025. Not just as a great new space for residents and travellers, but Underline is also expected to reduce traffic on roads.

When finished, The Underline will provide a 22-mile loop for biking, walking, and jogging. According to
