100 people joined in protest organized by Miami-Dade Antifa, Youth Liberation Front and other groups in response to the recent police killings of Adam Toledo, Daunte Wright and others.
The people marched in a protest to demand police reform and accountability. South Floridians descended on the Torch of Friendship on Biscayne Blvd, banging pots and pans and holding up signs with messages like “Black Lives Matter,” “RIP [George] Floyd” and “Abolish the Police.”
By 3 p.m., the crowd grew from a few dozen to about 100 people, a few police cars were parked nearby, but the officers kept their distance.
