Florida’s weekly trend for new COVID-19 cases has broken below 3,000 for the first time since October 19th and is the lowest since mid-October overall. This comes on back of Florida reporting 2,893 new cases on Thursday, the day which has consistently represented the peak day for new reported cases.
9.8 million Floridians, including 55% of all adults, have been vaccinated with at least a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine with 7.8 million who’ve now completed a vaccine series. It’s now been over three weeks since Florida had a day where there were more recipients of a first dose of a Moderna or Pfizer vaccine than a second dose.
