Despite starting its season a week later than most, the Frontier girls basketball team has hit the ground running.
After beating Hopkins on Tuesday, the Red Hawks followed it up with a 36-19 victory over Turners Falls on Thursday at Goodnow Gymnasium.
“Our team played really well,” senior Rebecca Bridwell said. “We kind of got rolling in the second quarter and we got a good lead.”
Both teams started out slow on the offensive end, with the first quarter coming to a close with the score 4-0. Frontier exploded in the second quarter for 18 points to take a 22-4 lead into the half.
