The National Hurricane center says the eye of the storm is nearing lakeland, east of tampa, as it continues its trek north. The word from city and state officials from those hunkered down at this hour, stay put. The situation is still highly fluid. At least report, the storm still had sustained winds of 100 Miles Per Hour, which has knocked out power for well more than 3 million customers and there is flooding from coast to coast as heavy rains and storm surge push water into florida cities.
