Federal prosecutors say the ex-RMV manager in Brockton accepted money in exchange for giving passing scores on learner’s permit tests for driver’s licenses over an 11 month period.
The former manager of a Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles branch has agreed to plead guilty to federal extortion charges for allegedly taking bribes and in exchange for issuing passing scores on learner’s permit tests, federal prosecutors said. In a separate case, the owner of a driving school is also pleading guilty for bribing a road test examiner.
Two people have pleaded guilty to charges tied to separate schemes to give permits and driver's licenses to people who did not actually pass the appropriate.
