they re turning around cars heading from mexico into the united states. that s what i m looking at rye now and traffic stopped from the u.s. side into mexico. in the last hour, we had several hundred, maybe 1,000 migrants leave that camp. when we earlier spoke, we were on that bridge and they were having a clash with riot police. what happened was they turned around and they went through this culvert, which is basically an outwash for the tijuana river. it s a pretty tough river. it s full of human waste. when it floods, it goes out into the ocean. that s what separates a large part of the city from the border crossing. what the migrants did is they went down into gulch and they climbed up the other side and now they re closer to the official points of entry. they haven t crossed the border. to give you a sense of what it s like, traffic is backed up with a mass amount of cars on the mexican side. we re not really certain once the migrants got closer to the
entry but also traveling down the border to potentially other locations is on the phone with us right now. hans, what do you have? well, the situation is basically at a stalemate right now. the migrants have moved from their shelter. they crossed the tijuana river. they tried to enter the border. they re looking for soft spots, but they haven t found any. they re not really any closer to their goal. they re still on the mexico side, but they clearly were frustrated and fed up with their conditions inside of that shelter. now they re just kind of patrolling up and down the border more on the eastern side of tijuana. we kind of captured the scene here. a moment ago i saw a family carrying a ladder and a stroller. a ladder to climb the wall and a central stroller to bring their children. they re desperate to get into america. they want to make their asylum claim in person and try to have a shot of staying in america and there are many families among them, but they are also terribly
