FRAMINGHAM Police said a local man who has been under investigation for distributing drugs tried to run from detectives on Thursday when they arrived at his home to arrest him.
Police caught up to Christian Cruz, 28, and arrested him at 6:46 p.m., police spokeswoman Lt. Patricia Grigas said Friday.
The MetroWest Regional Drug Task Force, which is comprised of detectives from Framingham, Marlborough and Natick, has been investigating Cruz for “several months,” the lieutenant said.
On Thursday, detectives decided to arrest him and search his 9 Central St. apartment.
“They were at the Central Street location and they saw him exit his home and head to his van,” said Grigas. “When he saw the detectives approaching him, he turned and ran. They quickly took him down and arrested him.”
FRAMINGHAM A Framingham woman and a New Hampshire man are accused of selling drugs from an apartment rented from the South Middlesex Opportunity Council.
Police arrested Jennifer Obuchowski, 38, of Framingham, and Matthew Obuchowski, 37, of Bedford, New Hampshire, at 2:03 p.m. Thursday after an investigation, police spokeswoman Lt. Patricia Grigas said.
Authorities did not describe the relationship between the pair.
The investigation was conducted by the MetroWest Regional Drug Task Force, which is comprised of detectives from Framingham, Marlborough and Natick.
Upon searching an apartment at 17A Second St., detectives found cocaine and fentanyl, a synthetic opioid said to be many times stronger than heroin.
