BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP A man is in custody after reportedly pointing a pellet gun at a FedEx driver in the parking lot of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit building on Telegraph Road Nov. 2.
It’s not yet clear what the man was allegedly doing with the firearm, but police said it wasn’t a targeted attack and there's no threat to the community.
A man believed to be armed with a firearm created fear as he attempted the Jewish Federation of Detroit offices in Bloomfield Township Thursday, but police determined he carried a pellet gun and apparently did not harbor antisemitic views.
Some Arab Americans said they felt betrayed and sidelined by the president's response, especially after he promised the community “a seat at the table" while campaigning. Even more concerning, they say, is silence or apathy from local leaders.
