Quetta administration decided to restrict roadside vendors to use footpaths for business, while carts would be removed from Joint Road, Airport Road and Liaquat Park and would be shifted to the designated places.
It was decided in a meeting chaired by Quetta Deputy Commissioner Major (retd) Aurangzeb Badini and attended by Superintendent of Police Traffic Muhammad Javed, RTA Secretary Ismail Sanjrani, Sariab Assistant Commissioner Yasir Dashti, Quetta Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Zohaib, Metropolitan Chief Ataullah Baloch and other officials.
The participants of the meeting discussed in detail the issue of traffic jams in Quetta causing problems to commuters and various steps taken and its progress in this regard.
