Covid-19: Victoria records one new case, apartment complex told to quarantine

The Australian state of Victoria recorded one new Covid-19 case on Tuesday as residents of an apartment complex in Melbourne’s north-west were told to quarantine for 14 days. The new case is linked to a Victorian family of four in the City of Hume, in Melbourne’s north, and has been in isolation. Two of the family members were announced as positive coronavirus cases on Monday. Three members of the family flew into Melbourne from Sydney (which is in lockdown) on July 4 on a red permit, meaning they were required to self-isolate for 14 days and get tested, while a fourth drove back to Melbourne on July 8.
