york, thank you. let s get more on the severe weather threat right now. meteorologist somara theodore joins us. somara, where are these storms moving next jose, we are looking at strong storms set to impact major travel hubs like washington, d.c., philadelphia, up towards hartford and boston as well they have severe thunderstorm watches in effect in the northeast as we head through tonight. now, travel with me down i-95 into the carolinas where we re keeping a close eye on tropical storm colin and that region along the outer banks and in areas like cape hatteras, they re set to see wave heights as high as six feet so if you re planning on taking the boat out this weekend, keep that in mind rip current risk, moderate to high through the weekend. the good news is we ll see major improvements in the eastern half of the country as we head to your fourth of july just in time for the fireworks. areas like the great lakes, though, they could see some rain. jose, back to you. somara theodo
