northeast are running out of salt and places to put the snow. where they ll put today s accumulation is anybody s guess. all right. and just look at the snow coming down right now in washington, d.c. where much of the city will be shut down today. oh, boy. let s check in with meteorologist jim dickey at accuweather. jim, conditions as bad as you expected so far? yeah, definitely. and turning worse here. we see the snow right now. baltimore, d.c. back across central and western virginia. roanoke picking up a foot of snow. with snow continuing to come down. all the way back to alabama, north into new york city, just a massive storm system that continues to strengthen through the day. now, the good news is in the southeast, conditions improving. the ice departing the atlanta area. still some freezing rain across south carolina. across north carolina. but through the day, we ll improve. not the case in the northeast. conditions going downhill. we re looking for heavy know through muc
