Marketed as being easier to deploy than traditional backup services, Metallic is delivered via the cloud on a subscription basis, and enables customers to backup their data in the Metallic cloud.
It works on external cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or on on-premises servers. Customers can also choose to backup their data in all three locations if they desire.
