Estuary Festival set to return to Thurrock
ESTUARY 2021 will take place over 23 days from 22 May, following its success in 2016.
Produced by Metal Southend and Cement Fields in Kent, the multi-disciplinary festival will celebrate the history and landscape of the Thames Estuary.
It will see a series of events take place along the Thurrock, Essex and Kent coastline and will showcase large scale installations as well as more intimate artworks.
Visitors will be invited to walk along the ‘Thames Estuary Trail’ to enjoy artwork and performances in the historic towns.
The coastal walk was originally described by the writer Tom King, in his book Thames Estuary Trail: A Walk round the End of the World , which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
