According to the rainfall statistics from June 1 till today, the state has received normal rainfall in coastal and north interior regions. The deficit stands at -18% for coastal regions and -7% for north interior regions, while south interior regions are slightly deficient at -29%. Four districts in the state have received excess rainfall - Kalaburagi, Bidar, Chitradurga, and Vijayanagar. Fourteen districts, including Bengaluru, have received normal rainfall.
Andhra Pradesh suffered 37 per cent deficit rainfall in June, logging just 59.2 mm rainfall on average across the state against the normal range of 94.1 mm, the Met department said on Friday.
