Indoor mask mandates will remain in effect across the board at that time, while New York and New Jersey will still employ social distancing requirements in cases where people at an event are unvaccinated. Increasingly, New York is debuting vaccinated-only sections in places like Yankee Stadium, Citi Field and Nassau Colisseum, where the New York Islanders will play a home playoff game later this month.
While the governor has said the May 19 full reopening will allow most businesses to reopen at 100% capacity, that 100% capacity still comes with the caveat of social distancing. So businesses will be limited in that sense. But that may change soon, too.

For the next month, New Yorkers can get a free ticket to a Mets or Yankees baseball game after getting a one-shot Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine at either stadium, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday.
Yankee Stadium in the Bronx and the Metsâ Citi Field in Queens have served as state-run mass vaccination sites for many weeks.
The Yankees will offer ticket vouchers to the first 1,000 fans who get vaccinated against COVID-19 on each full day of vaccination operations and to the first 700 fans on each half-day of vaccination operations from May 7, or Friday, through June 6.

ARLINGTON, Texas The Red Sox played in front of 35,129 fans at the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field on Saturday night.
This is the only major league ballpark in the United States allowing 100% capacity during COVID. Globe Life Field opened in 2020.
