this is cnn breaking news. welcome to all of you watching us here in the united states, canada, all around the world. i m kim brunhuber. we re following breaking news out of japan, where shinzo abe has been rushed to a hospital after being shot. this happened as he was giving a speech in nara in western japan. have a look here. japan s current prime minister says abe is in critical condition and considers are fighting to save his life. the fire department reports that abem nair arrest. police say he used a homemade gun. blake is in tokyo. what more are we learning about this? kim, very fluid situation here. japanese public broadcaster, nhk, is reporting the former japanese prime minister, shinzo abe has been shot twice. once in the chest and once in the neck, while delivering a speech around 11:30 this morning local time, in the western city of nara. according to the prime minister, who just gave a press conference, as you mentioned, abe is in critical condition, and doct
