Updated: 10:15 PM EDT Jul 5, 2021 Authorities searching for a man who wanted in connection with a home invasion and assault in Merrimac, Massachusetts have released a composite sketch of the suspect. Officials with the Essex District Attorney s Office say that Merrimac police responded to Hillside Avenue at about 11:10 p.m. Saturday for a report of a woman in distress.The woman told police that she was woken up by a man in her bedroom who was armed with a knife. She said the man then threatened her with the knife and repeatedly assaulted her.At some point, the woman was able to flee to a nearby home and call police. She was taken to Lawrence General Hospital for treatment and is expected to be released, according to the district attorney s office.The sketch was created based off the description of the suspect from the victim.
