NEWMARKET – A COVID-19 outbreak at the Pines of Newmarket senior living facility has landed three residents in the hospital, according to management officials.
Loree Wagner, spokeswoman for Merrill Gardens, the Pines parent company, said as of Thursday, 11 residents and five staff members had been infected with COVID-19. Three residents were transported to a hospital, she said, and none have required treatment in the intensive care unit. She said since Dec. 11, one resident has been discharged.
Wagner said the three employees have been cleared to work, and the other two are quarantining at home. She said the residents who were not hospitalized and the employees are experiencing mild to zero symptoms.
