2nd Nagaland Photography Festival in Dimapur commences

The 2nd Edition of Nagaland Photography Festival organised by the Photography Club Dimapur (PCD) officially commenced here at the Mandeville Garden, Purana Bazaar, Dimapur in the afternoon of September 22.

About Us, an experimental hard rock musical band which has signed a deal with international record label Frontiers Music Srl, is set to headline the golden jubilee celebration of the Dimapur Lotha Students’ Union (DLSU) Jubilee Nite on October 15 at the Dimapur Government College ground. The free concert will also feature popular pop rock band ‘The Paradigm Shift’, seven-year-old child prodigy guitarist Gideon Kithan, and musician Meribeni Patton.

Our Reporter Dimapur, Oct. 13 (EMN): About Us, an experimental hard rock musical band that was in news for its deal with international record label Frontiers Music Srl is set to headline the golden jubilee celebration of the Dimapur Lotha Students’ Union (DLSU) Jubilee Nite on Oct. 15 at the Dimapur Government College ground along with pop rock band ‘The Paradigm Shift’, seven-year-old child prodigy guitarist Gideon Kithan and musician Meribeni Patton. The DLSU Jubilee Nite will be graced by Dimapur II A/C MLA Moatoshi Longkumer and retired Secretary to the Government of Nagaland YM Humtsoe as the special invitees. During a press conference held at the DGC ground in Dimapur on Thursday, About Us band members updated that the band will be performing ten songs (five originals and five covers). Nagaland Photography Festival begins in Dimapur

Our Reporter Dimapur, Aug. 19 (EMN): Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), Alemtemshi Jamir inaugurated the first ‘Nagaland Photography Festival’ organised by Photography Club Dimapur (PCD) at Mandeville Garden, Dimapur, on Friday. The two-day festival will feature events photography exhibitions, entertainment, kids corner, photography workshops, stalls and food court, cosplay competition, photography competition, and seminars. Speaking during the opening ceremony of the event, Jamir said photography opens up so many things, freezes time and connects people. However, he cautioned the gathering that to be ready and keep in touch with the changing times as 3D photography and holograms are gaining grounds with advancement in technology and digitisation.
