SpartanNash (Nasdaq: SPTN) announced today that the Company has appointed Jason Monaco as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective March 22, 2021. Mr. Monaco will assume the CFO position from Mark Shamber who will remain with the Company through the end of April to assist with a transition. As CFO, Mr. Monaco will direct finance, mergers and acquisitions, treasury, internal audit, real estate, and risk management. He will report to SpartanNash’s President and Chief Executive Officer, Tony Sarsam.

One hundred of donations raised Feb. 10-21 at SpartanNash banners will assist 49 local Habitat affiliates on homebuilding initiatives.
At a time when many families are affected by the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the SpartanNash Foundation is inviting store guests to take part in its companywide fundraising effort to promote homeownership with Habitat for Humanity. The SpartanNash Foundation’s fundraising effort to secure shelter will run Feb. 10-21, supporting local Habitat for Humanity partners in eight states.
The SpartanNash Foundation was formed in 2015 and is the charitable giving arm of Grand Rapid, Michigan-based SpartanNash. It’s focused on providing financial support to nonprofit partners who align with its mission to end hunger, provide shelter, support military heroes and advance diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Habitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan is proud to partner with the SpartanNash Foundation during its retail scan campaign to build stronger communities. Between Feb. 10 and 21, store patrons who visit any of the four Family Fare stores in Northeast Michigan (Mio, Lewiston, Rogers City and Oscoda) will have the opportunity to donate $1, $5, $10 or round up to the nearest dollar at any checkout lane, with 100 percent of dollars raised granted to Habitat for Humanity Northeast Michigan.
