Emboldened by a lack of pushback, people are expressing hate more openly, council chair Brian Schupper said. “We’re seeing this doubling every couple of years. That’s pretty disturbing,” he said. “That says we’ve got to do a better job as a community of saying, there’s no place for hate. We’re not going to tolerate it.”
