Thank you for the invitation to present the Parklet Program and i comanage the program with my colleague john francis at the Planning Department but presenting with us as well tonight is our colleagues from street use and mapping at public works. We will be sharing an overview of the program and Parklet Program and the history, goals and policy and how the application process works and where theyre located. The additional 1 million will allow us to recapitalize the loan program. This will allow us to provide lowinterest rates to invest in corridors. Were looking at about 3. 5 rate. But the loan is also available to citywide businesses or businesses across the city. The last time we actually provided resources to this Revolving Loan fund was in 2013, under mayor lee. And main street lounge is our partner in administering the loan. Were currently actually amending their contract, so we can add the additional dollars. Next piece is the 2 million allocation for the next two years to expand the s. F. Shines program, into the bayview, excelsior and lower haight. The dollars support Small Business owners to make improvements to their storefronts and interiors. With the goal here is to make the spaces more appealing and accessible to patrons and contribute to the overall vitality of the neighborhood. We estimate that the additional dollars will support about 100 businesses over the next two years

You can see in red, those are all the address points of the permits that were issued to properties at those addresses. So its the northeast quadrant. I just want to touch quickly on 24 on the appeals Management System. Its been really great. Its a significant improvement. Its unbelievable. I feel like we are in the 21st century compared to what we had before. And i think its really incredible in terms of reporting capabilities. Our old system, we had to export everything from our system through access and then cobble the numbers in compel. There was a lot of room for error so this is going to be more accurate data. We saw a number of very large sunshine requests, like even for this recent case, they wanted to know all the d. B. I. Revocations so ms. Sullivan did an excellent job going through
