The Borough Council meeting that night was held in a virtual manner during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Dozens of residents signed in to view the meeting. Several municipal officials were in Borough Hall and some officials were at remote locations. Attorney Michele Donato joined the virtual meeting to answer questions about the Mercer Corporate Park on Robbinsville-Allentown Road, which is Church Street in Allentown and is also designated as county Route 526.

In recent weeks, municipal officials in Robbinsville have approved the construction of warehouse distribution centers at the Mercer Corporate Park on Robbinsville-Allentown Road. Robbinsville-Allentown Road is Church Street in Allentown. It is also designated as county Route 526. The property in Robbinsville on which the warehouse distribution centers are proposed to be constructed backs up to a residential zone along Pondview Drive in Allentown.

Allentown officials work to limit impact of neighboring corporate park Allentown officials work to limit impact of neighboring corporate park ALLENTOWN – Mayor Thomas Fritts has informed residents the developer of the Mercer Corporate Park in neighboring Robbinsville is working with borough officials on several items “to mitigate the impact of the development on Allentown.” Mercer Corporate Park is off Robbinsville-Allentown Road, which is known as Church Street in Allentown. Fritts said portions of the corporate park border Allentown residential developments in the vicinity of Pondview and Probasco drives. The mayor discussed issues associated with the corporate park during the Feb. 2 meeting of the mayor and Borough Council. The meeting was conducted in a virtual manner during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
