Domácí jezdec Mercedesu Lewis Hamilton vítězí ve Velké ceně Británie.
ČTK/AP/Jon Super Silverstone (Británie) - Dramatickou Velkou cenu Británie formule 1 vyhrál Lewis Hamilton před Charlesem Leclercem a Valtterim Bottasem. Závod ovlivnila hned v prvním kole Hamiltonova kolize s lídrem šampionátu Maxem Verstappenem, po níž pilot Red Bullu vylétl mimo trať, tvrdě narazil do bariéry a musel odstoupit. Nizozemcův náskok v čele mistrovství světa se tak snížil z 33 bodů na osm.

Ačkoliv Hamilton dostal po restartování závodu desetivteřinový trest, v závěru se stihl ještě přehnat přes vedoucího Leclerka a dojel si pro 99. vítězství v kariéře.
