two senators want to mandate that you have a national i.d. card in order to get a job. you can imagine, a lot of people have big problems with that idea. corresponde corresponde correspondent molly henneberg looks at both sides of the issue. you want a job in america. here? or here? or even here? then you may need a work i.d. card in the future, with a microchip to store biometric information such as your fingerprint or scan of the veins in your hands. two senators, democrat chuck schumer and republican lindsey graham are working on immigration reform legislation that would require such cards for u.s. citizens or legal residents. senator graham says it s way to prevent illegal immigrants from getting a job in the u.s. i want to make sure when an employer is presented a social security card, you can verify that it s real and genuine and the person is presenting the card is who they say they are. if we will do that one thing it will make it hard to hire
