ALAM: The Selangor government will consider a proposal for Covid-19 screening test to be conducted from house to house, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said it would also depend on the availability of manpower, including volunteers.
“To do the screening test from house to house will require a huge team,“ he told the media after launching the Selangor Prihatin Humanitarian Fund for the Palestinians here today.
On the Selangor Prihatin Humanitarian Fund, he said it was one of the state government’s efforts to express its solidarity with the Palestinian people.

He said any needs to hold an assembly session should first obtain the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah as matters on the state assembly or Dewan Rakyat are provided in the Emergency Ordinance signed by the King.
“The Selangor state government will be holding discussions on whether there is a need to hold a meeting or not,” he told reporters today after visiting Taman Seroja, Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi here, which was hit by a storm on Saturday (March 6).

He said that the high number of daily Covid-19 positive cases has definitely caused the people in Selangor to be very concerned, particularly when it reaches up to four figures and has not dropped to two figures since last month.
Hence, he said that all residents in Selangor should remain disciplined in complying with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) set by wearing face masks, practicing physical distancing and frequently washing their hands with soap or sanitary liquid.
