How to take part in virtual St David’s Day celebrations!
A series of virtual events to celebrate St David’s Day safely will take place today and throughout the rest of the week.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions the usual celebratory parade – which attracts hundreds each year – throughout the town centre is unable to go ahead.
However in partnership with Flintshire County Council, Wrexham County Borough Council and Tŷ Pawb, Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam have organised a week full events to St. David’s Day from today until March 5.
Although the celebrations are different, organisers say they’ll reflect the fact that we’re all apart but together celebrating Wales’ Patron Saint safely from home this year.
In partnership with Flintshire Council, Wrexham Council and Tŷ Pawb, Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam have organised a week full of virtual celebrations to celebrate St. David’s Day between March 1- 5. The celebrations might be different but they’ll reflect the fact that although we’re all apart we can still come together to celebrate Wales’ Patron Saint safely from home this year – and there will be something for everyone. The results of St David’s Eisteddfod competitions will be announced throughout the week and there will also be various activities including a virtual parade with Band Cambria, cookery tips and recipes and much, much, more.

A series of virtual events to celebrate St David’s Day in Wrexham will take place throughout the first week of March.
In partnership with Flintshire County Council, Wrexham County Borough Council and Tŷ Pawb, Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam have organised a week full events to St. David’s Day between March 1st- 5th.
Ordinarily to mark the event, hundreds of people would take part in a parade throughout the streets of the town centre.
Last year’s event, which saw crowds fill the town, took place just weeks before the national lockdown and ban on mass gatherings was imposed.

A week of virtual events to celebrate St David’s Day in Wrexham has been announced.
Last year’s event was just days away from the first full lockdown.
Although this year’s celebrations will be different due to the coronavirus restrictions, Wrexham Council, in partnership with Flintshire County Council, Wrexham County Borough Council and Tŷ Pawb, Menter Iaith Fflint a Wrecsam have organised a week full of virtual celebrations to celebrate St. David’s Day 2021 between March 1 and March 5.
