Our young people that are coming in are primarily africanamerican youth, and we work closely with them as well as the parents to make sure they get all their needs met. We work with most if not all communitybased organizations as closely in San Francisco to make sure the young kids are getting the services they need. I have been doing this for 20 years. So for those kids that come to clark, 95 are impacted by at least one episode of trauma. Of that 95 , 85 are impacted by two or more episodes of trauma. My interest in this is that i come from New Hampshire and i started the Bipartisan Task force on Opioid Epidemic. We got 100 members of congress, half publican, half democrat working together and we have been hit very hard in our state. 471 deaths last year but the mix of those is really changing. Its been to know but, as you write about in a book, its fun to know mixed with cocaine or fentanyl mixed with methamphetamines and i want to start off with the big picture of what got you into this .
