And they made their way a half mile from mission high and misdolores park to the Mission Substation at 17th and valencia. They have been out here for a while. They are loud. It is of a San Francisco Police Officer taking a knee with the crowd here at 17th and valencia. It happened once again several more Police Officers who were also taking a knee and there was a huge uproar of applause from the crowd. T can see, they are chanting hands up dont shoot. It is a very loud and boisterous crowd, but very peaceful at this point, have not seen any problems from my vantage point. That said, there are a lot of boarded up businesses along valencia. Im lucy, welcome. Hollywood Studio Bosses and the Union Representing writers have reached a tentative deal. Writers have been on strike since early may. The 15,000 plus members still have to vote to ratify the deal. In a statement, the Writers Guild of america said we can say, with great pride, that this deal is exceptional with meaningful gains and protections for writers in every sector of the membership. Actors, though, are Still Holding industrial action. They have been on strike sincejuly. Both strikes have hit the Entertainment Industry hard. Cbs correspondent Wendy Gilette told me what this deal means. This tentative deal between the Writers Guild union and Hollywood Studios is a three year contract. Not many other details have been released just yet. If its approved by the unions 11,000 members, talk shows could get back to work within days.
