LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The health of children is the focus of a training effort happening in La Crosse.
La Crosse Police and La Crosse Aquinas Catholic Schools are teaming up for Mental Health First Aid Youth Training.
School staff will learn to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth.
“This is an opportunity to set a baseline so we all have the same language. And we all step back and regroup. And especially as we are working through the pandemic and the changes in children and schools, what and where they are coming from,” said Cathedral Elementary Principal.
