Kimberly-Clark employees around the world proudly wear their Menstruation Bracelets to champion women and girls, and to ensure that a period never gets in the way of their progress. The Menstruation Bracelet is the simple, yet powerful symbol for menstruation and Menstrual Hygiene Day globally. Each bracelet is made of 28 beads representing the average 28 days of a menstrual cycle, and five of those beads are red, symbolizing the average five days of a period.
“I wear my Menstruation Bracelet as a reminder that periods are a natural part of being a woman, yet they hold so many women and girls back from what they can achieve,” said Alessandra Castro, the global brand purpose and social impact director for adult and feminine care at Kimberly-Clark.
