Our Correspondent Kohima, Oct. 12 (EMN): Ura Uvie FC blanked Kohima Dynamos FC 4-0 at the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy organised on the theme, ‘Goal for peace’ by Angami Students’ Union (ASU) on Wednesday at IG Stadium in Kohima. Shürhosül Zhotso, who opened the account for Ura Uvie, also registered the fastest goal of the tournament in 1.12th minute. Zhotso doubled the scoreline for his team with a brace in the 8th minute before the breather. Menguzelie Rutsa and Kevisanyü Peseyie netted a goal each for Ura Uvie to seal the fate of Kohima Dynomos. Head of Referee (HOR), Nagaland, Kevingutuo Sekhose, handed over the man of the match award to Menguzelie Rutsa Earlier, playing the first match, SWAT FC defeated Brothers FC with a solitary goal. Our Correspondent Kohima, May 28 (EMN): Barak FC on Saturday defeated G-Sports FC to enter the final of the 4th Kohima Super Cup played at Indira Gandhi Stadium (IGS) in Kohima. Barak FC rode on their luck as they beat G-Sports FC via penalties 5-3 after the match ended in a 3-3 draw. In the most anticipated semi-final match, Elminhao Kilong Kuki scored the first goal in the 13th minute for Barak FC, which was then equalised in the next minute by Menguzelie Rutsa for G-Sports in the 14th minute. Winamthiu scored another goal for Barak FC in the 73th minute yet Temjenwati added a goal in the 80th minute for G-Sports FC to make it 2-2 during the stipulated time. During the extra time, the match was evenly poised as Kekhrieletuo Tsira of G-Sports FC scored but Baoringdao Bodo scored again to equalise the score 3-3 to decide the winner via a penalty shootout.
