Seattle (dpa). Der weltgrößte Online-Händler Amazon rechnet nach Rekorderlösen in der Corona-Krise mit einem Abflauen des Shopping-Booms im Internet. Der Konzern stieß Anleger am Donnerstag nach US-Börsenschluss mit einer überraschend verhaltenen Prognose für das laufende Vierteljahr vor den Kopf.
Die Aktie geriet nachbörslich zeitweise mit mehr als sieben Prozent ins Minus. Kein optimaler Einstand für den neuen Vorstandschef Andy Jassy, der das Spitzenamt Anfang des Monats erst von Konzerngründer Jeff Bezos übernahm.
Im abgelaufenen zweiten Quartal profitierte Amazon zwar weiter vom Trend zum Einkauf im Internet und florierenden Cloud-Diensten, verfehlte die hohen Markterwartungen aber dennoch. In den drei Monaten bis Ende Juni steigerte der Konzern den Nettogewinn im Jahresvergleich um 50 Prozent auf 7,8 Milliarden Dollar (6,6 Mrd Euro). Die Erlöse wuchsen um 27 Prozent auf 113,1 Milliarden Dollar und knackten im dritten Quartal in Folge die 100-Milliarden-Marke. Im
